I make complicated software easier to understand and use.
Most of my work lives in products with a lot going on: dense workflows, competing priorities, and decisions that are not always obvious. I help teams sort through that complexity and make the next step clearer through product strategy, interaction design, systems thinking, and prototyping.
What I do
I find where people get stuck and help fix it.
A lot of good design work happens quietly. I look closely at what people need to know, where the product makes them stop and think, and which small problems make their work harder. Then I work with the team to make those moments simpler.

I’m PJ Haft, a product designer for complex software. I work on software that can be hard to understand at first, and I help teams make it feel more straightforward. I’m usually involved from early conversations and research through structure, prototypes, design systems, and the details people actually use.
