About

I design for the
messy middle of
enterprise software.

My work starts where customer data, business rules, automation, and people collide. I help teams turn that complexity into clear decisions and product experiences people can understand, trust, and use.

Profile

I help teams turn product complexity into decisions people can understand.

I’m PJ Haft, a product designer working across product strategy, interaction design, research synthesis, prototyping, and design systems, usually on CRM, analytics, dashboards, automation, and AI-assisted workflows.

I care about the moment when a product has to explain itself. What does this number mean? What changed? What should I do next? Can I trust this recommendation? Those questions are where design starts to matter.

Approach

The principles I keep coming back to.

Clarity

If the system is complicated, the interface has to work even harder to be plain.

Trust

People need to understand what they are seeing before they can act on it.

Craft

Even practical software deserves rhythm, restraint, and care in the details.

Experience

Sixteen years designing the systems people rely on to make decisions.

I’ve worked across enterprise SaaS, CRM, data integration, analytics, and ecommerce. The hard part is rarely a single screen; it is aligning the system, the workflow, and the people responsible for building it.

That has meant shaping direction with product and engineering, building shared patterns, and carrying ideas from early ambiguity through shipped product.

Beyond work

The things outside work still find their way into the work.

Outside of design, I’m usually traveling with my wife, hanging with our dog Mylo, working on bonsai trees, watching Liverpool, or going deep on Japanese culture and professional wrestling.

I think those interests show up in my design taste more than I expected. I’m drawn to systems, rituals, atmosphere, craft, and the small details that make something feel considered instead of merely assembled.

Have a product problem that feels hard to untangle?

I’m always interested in thoughtful conversations about enterprise products, product design projects, and making powerful systems easier to use.
